An Indian nationwide has been arrested right here for illegally smuggling 41 cellphones into Nepal, police mentioned on Saturday.
Dilip Pawar, 37, was arrested on late Friday from the Pharping space of Dakshinkali Municipality, 20 kilometres south of Kathmandu.
Pawar, who was heading in the direction of Kathmandu in a taxi carrying cellphones with out paying customs responsibility, was held throughout an everyday safety test, police mentioned.
An investigation has been initiated into the matter, they added.
In one other incident, police in Nepal arrested Indian nationwide Rahul Mahato, 19, for illegally carrying Rs 200,000 in money.
Mahato was arrested throughout a safety test in Malangwa Municipality of Sarlahi district whereas he was on his strategy to Nepal from India on a bicycle, police mentioned.
