50% of revenue goes to stars, producer is final to become profitable: Karan | Leisure Information

Filmmaker Karan Johar spoke about how a film’s revenue is split among the many actors, producers and director. He mentioned, “If it is a huge director then…50 to the star and 30 to… director, a bit of extra to the author, and…producer is the final individual to become profitable.” Karan additional mentioned it is tougher to barter with the actors compared to distributors.
