Nashville’s hottest country that is new is Derek and Katelyn Dryes. The married couple wowed the masses on the season that is latest regarding the Voice. The 2 were into the music scene individually that they should put together a band to start performing around the east coast before they were an item and quickly decided. Now, fifteen years later, they’ve been a family group name.

On November 25th, the duo released their latest single Christmas is Callin’, a great country that is cozy classic that is bound to be on your playlist for years to come. The original penned by Derek and Katelyn in addition to Kelli Johnson, has already been on major Spotify lists and gained over 250,000 streams in less than a month. The feel-good toe-tapper is full of personal family traditions and inside jokes. In an interview with Milestone Publicity, Derek shares, “Christmas is one of our favorite times of the year. We wrote this song about those family get togethers; exchanging gifts, laughing about memories of the past, when Katelyn’s sister got Amy Grant’s Christmas album on Christmas Day in 1992 and it played all morning. It’s those brief moments that inspired us to publish this song.”
With sultry vocals and harmonies which will provide you with goosebumps, the Dryes have big plans for 2023, including currently focusing on new music and piecing together a album that is full. Katelyn grew up with her grandmother Johnny that is playing Cash most of the legendary women of country like Patsy, Tammy, Loretta, and Dolly; while Derek loves ways to speak about anything from faith to partying and everything in the middle. Katelyn says, “there’s a accepted place for everyone in country music. You can tell stories that make people laugh and cry. Artists are able to share their experiences and it resonates with listeners in a very way that is real. You merely saying ‘country music’ gives me a warm feeling and I just can’t imagine doing anything else* that is.”(
