(Reuters) – America and Pacific island nations vowed to strengthen their partnership in a declaration launched on Thursday, the second day of a summit, as Washington tried to handle their wants amid its considerations over China’s position within the area.
“Pacific leaders welcome america’ dedication to boost its engagement, together with by increasing its diplomatic presence, the ties between our peoples, and U.S. growth cooperation throughout the area,” the declaration, launched by the White Home, mentioned.
